The national president of , Marconi Perillo, met this Friday (22) with economists to discuss reforms necessary for Brazil to grow at more than 4% per year.
He was with Edmar Bacha, one of the fathers of the Federal Senate, and Marcus Pestana, executive director of the IFI (Independent Fiscal Institute). The meeting was at Casa das Garças, an economic research institute chaired by Bacha in Rio de Janeiro.
“We conclude that it is absolutely necessary that a set of structural changes be approved as soon as possible so that Brazil can enter a virtuous cycle from the point of view of social, employability and opportunities”, stated Perillo.
After suffering several electoral setbacks, the PSDB has been seeking to reinforce its position against the Lula government in an attempt to return to growth. The party’s motto is to be a responsible opposition, without Bolsonarist radicalism.
