Racing x Cruzeiro: por que Cléber Machado não está narrando a final da Sul-Americana? image

Announcer Cléber Machado, from SBT, was not selected for the final of the Copa Sudamericana 2025, between Racing and Cruzeiro, this Saturday (23). Despite narrating a large part of the competition on the network, the professional, formerly of Rede Globo, had an early end to his contract with the network.

In October, Cléber Machado agreed to return to Record in 2025 and will be the company’s number one narrator on broadcasts of Paulistão and the Brazilian Championship.

Despite the agreement with the competitor, the narrator still had a contract with SBT and could work on the tournament’s decision. In an interview with “Uol”, Cléber Machado revealed that the choice came from the broadcaster.

— As agreed, the decision was up to the broadcaster — said the communicator.

SBT responded that the decision was so that Cléber could have “more rest days and fulfill other professional commitments”.
