Rosenkranz sees “mistakes” in praising a Nazi, but doesn’t want to apologize

Vienna – National Council President Walter Rosenkranz does not want to comply with his predecessor’s request for an apology. It had already become known during the 2022 presidential election campaign that the then candidate Rosenkranz praised, among other things, an illegal Nazi as a “high achiever” in a book written by his German nationalist fraternity. In the Ö1 “Mittagsjournal” on Saturday, Rosenkranz still recognizes this as a “mistake,” but: “I didn’t say the word sorry, I would see it differently.”
