Thanasis Efthymiadis said his “goodbye” through social media
With a long post, the actor shared with his online friends his thoughts about the late director and the reasons he will always be grateful to him, such as the fact that their collaboration in the ANT1 series “For Anna” was the occasion to meet the his wife and mother of his children.
“My dear Manusangel, 31 years ago (1993), I decided to try my luck in private television, which was then taking its first steps. Secretly from the quality theater I served in the first years of my career (because then it was taboo to do quality theater and television), I came to your office to leave my CV and two photos. As soon as you saw me, you greeted me as if you had been waiting for me. You saw something in me and a few days later you suggested that we work together” the popular artist initially wrote.
“You believed in me, you trusted me, and in my first contact with television, you gave me the leading role in an independent episode in “Department of Morals” (The Myth of the Centaur). You guided me with so much love and kindness, spoke such words of praise, talked about how good an actor and a good partner I am, that never again in my career did I have to leave a resume and photos of myself to convince them that I am good at my job.”
“After that gift you gave me at the beginning of my television career, everything went smoothly. As if all this were not enough, in 2006 you proposed to me to work together on your TV series “For Anna” and you introduced me to the future mother of my children. You knew something when you talked to me for hours about the universe and the stars, in the evenings when we watched them through your telescope at your house in the Peloponnese, now I know that somewhere among the stars you are too.”
