A legend surrounds January 8, 2023 in Brasília: on that day, Bolsonaro and his friends attempted a coup d’état. It has been known for some time that the real coup plot unfolded earlier, in November and December 2022. The arrest of General Mário Fernandes, former commander of Army Special Operations, and his gang of black kids, confirms what This was already known, in general terms, by the STF and the press. It is time to separate one event from another, so that justice can be done.
The legend was born from the impact of the spectacular, barbaric images, of the invasion of the STF and Congress buildings by the mob of idiotic vandals incensed by a mirage, and was consolidated through the performative sentences issued by the judges in black capes. It was not reasonable to imagine a coup operation launched after, not before, the transfer of power to the elected government. But legends tend to persist, defying logic and facts.
The real conspiracy lacks images or sounds. Its plot, however, is x-rayed and unfolds from the second week of November 2022 until mid-December. The operational plan for the coup was printed twice in Planalto. The black kids got together to fine-tune the plot that would culminate in the murders of Alexandre de Moraes, Lula and Alckmin. The political-legal draft of the coup was formulated. Bolsonaro’s close circle organized the “popular outcry” expressed in the camps in front of the barracks.
Before Fernandes’ arrest, it was believed that everything would have foundered on December 7, the date of Bolsonaro’s meeting with the Army High Command, when the majority of commanders refused “due obedience” to the subversive president, saluting the Constitution. It is now known, however, that Fernandes met with Bolsonaro at the Palácio da Alvorada on 8/12 and, days later, the black kids moved to Brasília and monitored Moraes’ steps in order to carry out their bloody mission.
The question then emerges: what happened on the fateful 15/12, the scheduled date of Moraes’ kidnapping, to abort the outcome? The chronology of the plot does not end with the famous meeting of 7/12, but continues for another eight days and covers some decisive event that is still hidden.
The solution to the mystery depends on the PF investigations. But justice depends on a turnaround by the STF, which focused its attention on the legend, comfortably deviating from the actual conspiracy. The 8/1 zombies dreamed of a coup that had already failed. His bizarre attempt to light the fuse of military intervention deserves fair punishment, not “exemplary sentences” designed to produce frenzied applause from the audience and, at the same time, hide the crimes of the “good men” who articulated the real plot.
The black-coated judges have the names, dates, testimony and documents. Evidently, General Fernandes and his black kids did not act appropriately. How long will it take for their boss to finally sit in the dock?
The feathers of the barefoot zombies abandoned by their leader in terra incognita reach the stratospheric mark of 17 years. The number deserves to be remembered. What will be the STF’s sentence for the cool scammers, in uniforms or suits, who circulate in the courtyard of impunity?
