Bulgaria was one of the first countries: When the state refused to pay for gas deliveries with rubles in the summer of 2022, Russia’s Gazprom stopped exports. But two years later, an analysis by the Bulgarian media shows Mediapool, that the Russian raw material is still coming into the country: gas flows indicate that gas of “Turkmen origin” de facto comes from Russia. It was simply “relabeled” in the course of the gas trade, and it was probably legal.
