A man died this Sunday buried under part of the roof of the Luis Vives public school in Massanassa (Valencia), as confirmed by the director of the center. The Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat has reported that a notification of a landslide was received around one in the afternoon. The school was sealed, as indicated by its director. Everything indicates that the deceased is a Tragsa worker. There were also several UME soldiers at the scene who managed to leave in good condition.
The center is one of the most affected by the floods, to the point that its reconstruction from scratch was being considered. According to the director of Luis Vives, Salvador Crespo, the inspection services of the Ministry of Education reviewed the state of the school and sealed it when it presented a red level, the most serious and at risk of collapse. According to Crespo, no less than twenty vehicles hit the walls of the center on the day of the damage, so its condition was very fragile. At the moment, the students were relocated to the old Faculty of Teaching in Valencia.
Several ambulances, members of the UME and crews from the Valencia provincial fire brigade consortium have traveled to the scene. The Government delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has traveled to the scene of the events.
