The objective is to analyze complaints related to service in the sector and try to find solutions to any conflicts

A (Brazilian Association of Health Plans) and the (Institute for Research and Studies of Society and Consumption) signed a partnership on Thursday (21.Nov.2024) to analyze complaints related to care in the health plan sector and try to reduce judicialization.

The idea is to observe relationships between companies and policyholders and try to find solutions to possible conflicts.

With the agreement, the Consumer Observatory was created, which functions as a kind of health Procon, but not a user service desk.

The agreement was signed during the “28th Abramge Congress”, held at the Bienal Pavilion, in São Paulo.

“There is no miraculous way out, which is why this first step is so symbolic. Having the courage to understand problems in depth, act with transparency and be purposeful in the search for solutions demonstrates maturity and civility”said Juliana Pereira, president of IPS Consumo.

According to the Ministry of Health, the judicialization of health “is understood as the growing phenomenon of legal actions against the State, which request the provision of medical treatments”.
