Zaracho was called in by Milito at halftime. In the 22nd minute of the second half, the Argentine tried to take off, felt a muscle injury and immediately fell to the pitch.
Atlético’s medical department entered the field to provide assistance and immediately asked for a replacement. Zaracho left the field on a stretcher, in tears, and was consoled by teammates and even opponents.
On the bench, Zaracho continued crying while being comforted by some teammates.
Due to the proximity of the Copa Libertadores decision, the tendency is for Zaracho to be absent from the last game of the competition. Atlético will face Botafogo on November 30th (next Saturday), at 5pm (Brasília time), at Mâs Monumental de Nuñez, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
