Federal deputy Ivan Valente (PSOL-SP) sent a representation to the Public Ministry of the State of São Paulo against the Secretary of Public Security, Guilherme Derrite,
Valente’s action also mentions PMs Guilherme Augusto Macedo and Bruno Carvalho Prado, who approached the student. Macedo was the shooter who killed Acosta on the steps of a hotel, in the Vila Mariana region, south of the city of São Paulo.
According to a police report, the student allegedly gave one while he was standing still, which led to the approach.
“The unpreparedness of the military police officers during the approach based on abuse of authority against the student Marco Aurélio Acosta remains uncontroversial, who, according to security camera records, at no time posed any danger to the lives or physical integrity of the military police officers involved in the case”, says the representation.
The parliamentarian also asks that the MP have access to the cameras that the police officers had on their uniforms that could help clarify the episode.
He concludes the representation by requesting that Derrite, Macedo and Prado be investigated with a view to determining their criminal, civil and administrative responsibilities.
