Security guard Gilberto Nogueira de Oliveira, 40, who had his penis cut off by his wife, Daiane dos Santos Faria, 34, in December last year, in the interior of São Paulo, denied any possibility of revenge against her, who says still love it very much. For the crime, Daiane was sentenced to 4 years, 8 months and 20 days in prison – she is currently in the Mogi Guaçu Penitentiary.

The possibility of revenge was raised when the judge in the case only allowed the husband to visit his wife, who was imprisoned in the parlor model, when a glass separates the two people and the conversation can only be had over the phone. According to Gilberto, “it doesn’t make sense” to consider retaliation.
In an interview with MetropolisesGilberto guaranteed that he loved Daiane and, if he had any resentment, the best he would do would be to stay away from her.
“I see several posts, but I say: it’s something that doesn’t make sense. It’s been almost 11 months that I’ve been, on top of everything else, trying to visit her in prison,” said her husband.
He then said that he helps pay for the woman’s defense team and that, despite no longer having a penis, he has a “wonderful” life and that, therefore, “he would never do something evil like that.” [se vingar de Daiane].
Gilberto even pointed out that it never crossed his mind to do any harm to his wife and that he stood by her side throughout the process, including asking his lawyer not to report his wife for attempted murder.
He says he forgave Daiane and still loves her:
“I only do this because I really want to get back with her. I love her. It never crossed my mind to do any kind of harm to her, and it doesn’t. She also forgives me, even though people say that [possibilidade de retaliação] for her.”
“Wonderful and loving”
Gilberto defined his wife as “a wonderful and loving woman”. The couple had lived together for two years at the time of the crime and, according to the man, the episode was “a nervous, hot-headed act”. He also stated that Daiane cut off his penis because “she had a reason” and admitted that he cheated on the woman with her niece, a 15-year-old girl.
According to her husband, people speak very badly about Daiane, saying that she will attack the man again and even kill him. But Gilberto guarantees that those who say this “don’t know her heart on a daily basis. They don’t know who Daiane is to be able to judge.”
For her husband, she would not do something of this nature again, as she also likes him and has suffered a lot being away from her family, children and friends.
How was the crime
The crime took place in December 2023. After Daiane discovered her husband’s betrayal, she lured him into the house and cut off his penis with a razor. After that, he threw the organ down the toilet and flushed it, so that reimplantation would not be possible.
Despite the crime, Gilberto said he forgave Daiane. With the woman in prison, the couple resumed contact through letters and ended up getting back together. Her husband’s pardon was even used by Daiane’s defense to request her provisional release, but the request was denied by the courts.

Gilberto has already been to the penitentiary where his wife is imprisoned twice, the most recent meeting being on the 10th — this Sunday (11/24) he scheduled a new visit. He told the Metropoliseswho, due to the cost of traveling to Mogi Guaçu, had been making visits once a month. However, from now on he intends to travel to see her every 15 days.
