Index is historic (2.8%), as it places the State in a condition of full employment
According to PNADC Quarterly data released by This Friday (22), the unemployment rate in Santa Catarina fell from 3.2% to 2.8% from the 2nd to the 3rd quarter of 2024. The historical unemployment number is the lowest in the last 10 years , which confirms the condition of full employment in the State, characterized by rates below 4%. This significant change is the result of effective public policies, as well as the advancement of the productive sector in the Santa Catarina economy.
On the other hand, programs such as PRONAMP, Estrada Boa, PRODEC and PROEMPREGO have played a fundamental role in generating jobs, which demonstrates the state government’s commitment to creating an environment that considers economic development. In this way, acting in a special way in maintaining the state of Santa Catarina as one of the most industrialized in the country.
From the perspective of governor Jorginho Mello, is consolidated as a model of economic prosperity in Brazil, with public investments, government support and business confidence. It reaffirms the state’s position as a reference in job creation and sustainable development. âHere, anyone who wants to start a business is sure that the State will help,â says Mello. Thinking about the average income of workers in the State, the research also revealed significant growth. Data shows that productivity rose 11%, reaching R$3,645, while it is 11% higher than the national average of R$3,276. Therefore, these numbers demonstrate the competitiveness of the Santa Catarina labor market and the improvement in living conditions impacted by the commitment to efficient public policies, as well as economic development.
