He also claims that laws will be passed in the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic and the state budget will also be approved. The chairman of the parliamentary club of the Slovakia, For the People and KÚ movement, Michal Šipoš, pointed out that despite the assurances of the coalition representatives, currently the deputies do not know whether the next session of the parliament will open and whether the laws will be approved. They stated this in the Sunday STVR talk show O 5 minut 12.
Taraba perceives the situation in connection with the deputies around Huliak as annoying people. He urged them to return to the work they were mandated to do. He reminded that the coalition agreement applies, within which the individual posts are divided. “I will not allow the government to slip into blackmailing here that we will support you if anything. (…) We are also absolutely not interested in ‘if anything’,” said the minister.
Šipoš stated that the government claims that there is no threat of early elections and that everything is working, but the deputies do not actually know whether the next session of the parliament will open and whether the laws will be approved. “We can see very well that this coalition hangs on the strings of Rudolf Huliak, who attacks ministers every day, talks about claiming various positions. (…) Government politicians are trying to cover it up,” he said. At the same time, he criticized that the government does not fulfill pre-election promises.
They also touched on the topic of the election of the President of the National Assembly of the Slovak Republic. Taraba thinks that an agreement on one currency could be realistic by the end of the year. He indicated that he could imagine supporting the Hlasu-SD candidate if there was an agreement on a certain value agenda. At the same time, Šipoš, in response to the question whether Progresívne Slovakia should already present a candidate for deputy speaker of the parliament, noted that it is up to them to decide.
