Tomatoes can be stored in the refrigerator, however, this is not the best way if you want them to be juicy and tasty and the flesh not to become “drippy”. You’ll do much better holding them at a temperature of 7-10 degrees Celsius (if eaten within 5 days), e.g. in a basement or pantry.
Small amounts of tomatoes may also lie on the kitchen counteras long as it is away from the radiator or oven. If you choose a refrigerator anyway, put the fruit on the top shelf, because it is usually the warmest there. Before use, remove them from the device for 30-40 minutes to return to room temperature.
