There are always stories surrounding supposedly haunted ancients, but it hides a truly creepy secret.
Archaeologists have in the past uncovered wonders in Egyptian tombs, but they have also suffered severe “curses” from exploring others, yet there is always the temptation to unravel a mystery, especially when there is also the possibility of hidden treasure.
While many of the most interesting discoveries have been made naturally, many others come from historical references to ancient dynasties and rulers who enjoyed boasting about their wealth.
Such is the case with the temple Shree Padmanabhaswamy located in Kerala, Indiawho is supposed to it hides an untold treasure, more than a trillion dollarsbut he is locked behind a door that most refuse to open.
It was originally created for his worship God Vishnuhowever the temple is said to hold the wealth and treasures amassed during his reign king of Travancoreas reported by News Minute.
Five of the temple’s six vaults have since been opened following a 2011 Supreme Court ruling calling for transparency in the building’s operation, but the sixth – known as ‘Vault B’ – it remains closed to this day due to rather appalling conditions.
Tholos II is said to guarded by supernatural forcesincluding among others a group of giant cobras. In addition to the supernatural, anyone attempting to see what it’s really hiding will also have to go through metal detectors, security cameras, and more than 200 armed guards, which certainly pose a threat.
Forbes revealed Auditor General Vinod Rai’s claims that Tholos B it had actually been opened at least seven times since 1990 with no disastrous results, so the view that this is all a superstition is certainly supported by some.
Supposedly there is one secret tunnel used by architects to lock the chamber doors from the inside, and combining this with the report that they have been referred to as and 769 missing gold chests and silver barsit’s easy to wonder if some were sneaking in and out.
It will probably be a while before we know the true contents of this particular vault, as the Supreme Court is expected to reject the request to open it, leaving us all to remain puzzled as to what is actually inside the chamber.
One would expect that people would rush to open something with so much treasure inside, but the fear of the unknown can often be too much for many.
