Graz – Styria’s FPÖ leader Mario Kunasek was confident of victory in the run-up to the state elections. Days before election Sunday, he announced that he would hold talks with all parties starting Tuesday if he won the election. As is well known, the Freedom Party was not allowed to lead government negotiations in the federal government – Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen commissioned Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) to do so.
