A video shows the attempt by residents of Uberlândia, in the Minas Gerais triangle, to save influencer Jenniffer Soares Martins, 28, from a flood that hit the city in the early hours of this Sunday (24).
In the images, it is possible to see a woman placing a ladder towards the influencer and her husband, who were outside a car. One leaned on the other to try to escape the flood.

A woman died, in the early hours of this Sunday (24), after being swept away by a flood during the heavy rains that hit the municipality of Uberlândia, in Triângulo Mineiro (MG), this weekend.
In a statement, the Government of Minas Gerais, through the State Civil Defense Coordination (Cedec), stated that the victim, got out of a car – which began to flood due to the storm – and, after a collision with another vehicle, was swept away by the flood.
“We inform you that the situation in the city of Uberlândia is under control. Electricity, water supply, internet and telephone services were not affected. There are no islanded communities or blocked highways,” stated the Government.
Known as Jhei, the victim was an influencer and had more than 57 thousand followers on social media, where she posted fashion, everyday life and makeup content. Moments before the incident, the woman even posted a story on Instagram with the caption “Going to be ‘xovem’ [jovem]”.
The Civil Defense of Minas Gerais also adds that it monitors events related to the rainy season in the state. “[a defesa] It supports municipalities in response actions, such as declaring an abnormal situation, distributing humanitarian aid, preparing work plans to raise funds for reconstruction, among other measures”, highlighted the organization.
