Preparing the cake does not always have to be time-consuming and require starting the oven. Sometimes just a few minutes in the kitchen is enough to enjoy delicious food. We present a recipe for a no-bake cake that is so easy to prepare that it has been called the “lazy daughter-in-law” cake.

The name of the dessert, i.e. “lazy daughter-in-law”, already says that it is very simple and quick to make. This tasty dessert can be prepared in just a few minutes, making it a great solution when unannounced guests arrive at our doorstep. What’s more, we can make them without turning on the oven.

Another advantage of this quick and delicious cake is that We will prepare them with just a few basic ingredientswhich we can easily buy in any store. To make this dessert we need: one large packet of biscuits and one can of sweetened condensed milk, which will be approximately 400 g.

In addition, we need to equip ourselves with: 250 g of mascarpone cheese, 250 ml of whipping cream 30%. and 100 g of dark or milk chocolate. We will also need hazelnuts or roasted almonds.

Now that we have all the necessary ingredients, we can proceed to making the “lazy daughter-in-law” cake. The first thing we need to make sure is that the cream we will use in the recipe is properly cooled. Otherwise, we will not be able to whip it stiff. In addition, let’s prepare a baking tray with dimensions of 26 × 26 cm or 24 × 24 cm.

The next step is to melt the chocolate in a water bath. Then whip the cream until stiff. Add mascarpone cheese and condensed milk. Mix everything gently and add the melted chocolate, mixing again.

Next, place the biscuits on the bottom of the form and spread a layer of cream on them. Sprinkle the top with nuts or almonds. We repeat arranging the biscuits and cream until we run out of ingredients. If we want to diversify this tasty dessert, we can also add plum jam and currant jam on one of the biscuit layers.. This will have a great effect on the taste, introducing a slightly sour accent that will balance the sweetness of the cake. It is worth putting the dessert in the fridge for a few hours to let it set.
