Agreement worth 290 million euros guarantees the supply of sports equipment for another decade
Adidas and the (Mexican Football Federation) renewed this Monday (22.Nov.2024) the contract to supply sports equipment until 2034. The agreement, valued at 290 million euros, extends for another 10 years the partnership restarted in 2007.
The German brand will be the official supplier of the Mexican team in the next 3 World Cups: 2026, 2030 and 2034. Since the beginning of the current partnership, Mexico has won 5 Gold Cup titles under the sponsorship of Adidas.
“This collaboration is based on shared values, such as respect for our culture, traditions and passion for footballl”, said Ivar Sisniega, executive president of the FMF. “Renewal will continue to inspire generations of Mexicans,” completed.
Jorge Dionne, general director of Adidas Mexico, highlighted the historic importance of the partnership.“Being alongside Mexican football has always been important. We are convinced that triumphs will come and will remain in the fans’ memories.”he stated.
The relationship between Adidas and the Mexican national team began in the 1980s, with a first cycle between 1984 and 1990. With the current renewal, the partnership will complete 27 uninterrupted years after its return in 2007.
