In 2023, the country stood out as a leader in tourism growth in , recording an impressive increase of 37% compared to the previous year. This growth represents an economic impact of R$218 billion, as revealed by a survey by Focus Ride, a research company specialized in the tourism sector. The study also highlighted that the gross value of reserves in the region rose 29%, surpassing the US$70 billion mark. In Brazil, the increase in the arrival of foreign tourists was celebrated, which totaled more than 5 million in 2023, a growth of 62% compared to 2022.

The data reinforces information from the Ministry of Tourism, showing that foreign tourists spent more than R$30 billion in the country, an increase of 25% compared to the previous year. Industry experts say that these numbers highlight Brazil’s potential to boost the tourism market, not only due to its natural beauty, but also due to the rich cultural offering that the country offers. The Ministry of Tourism attributes this growth to effective public policies adopted by the federal government.

In addition to international tourism, domestic tourism has also shown notable growth. According to (ANAC), more than 68 million passengers traveled through Brazil between January and September 2024. The Focus Ride report predicts that tourism in Latin America will continue to grow in the coming years, with the expectation that the value gross reserves reach R$95 billion by 2027.
