Midfielder Jhon Jhon, 22 years old, went from heaven to hell in this Brasileirão. The player can appear on either the future champion or relegated list in this edition of the championship. The player started the competition at Palmeiras, current leader of the table, and transferred to Red Bull Bragantino, who are in the relegation zone.
The midfielder played in three matches for Alviverde in this Brasileirão before, in July, going to the Bragança Paulista team, which paid 4.5 million euros, around R$25 million at the time, for the reinforcement.
At the time, Bragantino was not one of those tipped to fall, but a drastic drop in the club’s performance devastated the team, which today finds itself in 18th place, with 37 points, in the relegation zone. To make matters worse, Fluminense (38 points, 16th ) and Criciúma (37th, 17th) have one game less and could distance themselves.
In the fight against sticking, the Bragança team faces Cruzeiro, at home, Athletico-PR, in Curitiba, in the last three matches, and ends its participation in the championship against Criciúma, at home. Meanwhile, the team that sold Jhon Jhon, Palmeiras, currently leads the Brasileirão, with 70 points, and is approaching its third consecutive title.
This Tuesday, at Allianz Parque, Palmeiras will host Botafogo, who also has 70 points, in a duel that should win the season title.
For Bragantino, Jhon Jhon played 20 games this year, with three goals and one assist.
