Neymar did not like the opinion of football journalist and influencer Fred, famous for his work on the Desimpedidos channel, in a podcast. Fred criticized Neymar for “questionable choices” off the field and the star responded: “braggart”.
Fred’s interview was on the podcast “Alt Tabet”, by Antônio Tabet, carried out two months ago. The topic of Neymar came up and the influencer gave his opinion.
— I think so, they are totally different things. I admire Neymar a lot on the field, but, off it, he has choices and positions that are questionable. During the World Cup, there are people who root against him, you know? It’s very crazy! said Fred.
Since August, Fred Bruno, known as Fred Desimpedidos, has become a commentator for Rede Globo and works on the Sportv channels. In the same episode, he spoke about the impact of number 10 on the Brazilian team.
— Now Neymar has become such a huge deal, because of his football, his figure and even the things he does off the field. He is not called up, he is not capable of playing, the team loses and it is his fault. It’s very crazy! I think it’s very much a cultural stop – he analyzed.
On a social network, Neymar responded to the criticism. “That’s a braggart,” the player wrote.

The striker had another bad incident related to his health: in Al-Hilal’s game against Esteghlal, valid for the Asian Champions League, the Brazilian suffered a ruptured hamstring and was absent from the Arab team for at least another month, up to six weeks.

According to the website “Uol”, Neymar’s salary exceeds R$83 million per month at the Saudi club. Per season, the amount reaches 160 million euros (around R$1 billion at current prices).
Al-Hilal paid a sum of around 90 million euros to take Neymar from PSG. At the current price, this number is close to R$540 million.
