Solar panels are praised by many people. However, a new study came up with some really unexpected results. She showed that solar panels can change temperatures during the day and night. Take a look.
Solar panels are a great invention. Yes, it’s not a cheap investment, but it pays off in the long run. The solar panels that you place on the roof allow you to produce your own electricity. This will really reduce your annual expenses by a lot, for example up to 80%. For 9 months of the year, it is possible to draw only solar energy, which ensures independence from the distribution network. Another advantage of solar panels is that once you invest in them, the running costs are low and their lifespan is long. But a new study found that solar panels on rooftops change temperatures during the day and night. So how is it?

Solar panels and temperature
Although solar panels represent a great financial relief and have many advantages, nothing can be perfect and everything has some disadvantages. But as the school of life taught us, too much of everything is harmful. So what would it look like if everyone, let’s say in the Czech Republic, had solar panels on their roofs. Of course, we are moving in a very theoretical environment, and the chance that the entire Czech Republic would purchase solar panels is practically zero.
But what if. If solar panels really appeared on the roofs of our entire territory, it could be a problem that would bring not entirely pleasant climate changes to our Czech homeland. As if we don’t have enough of them, right? However, what would happen is that during the peak summer season, the surface of the panels would generate a temperature that would negate the cooling effect on the temperature in the city.
Changing temperatures
The same thing would happen during winter. Solar panels across the country would also change temperatures over time not only during the seasons, but also during the day and night. A new study found that the temperature would increase by about 1.5 degrees Celsius during the day. And at night, the temperature would drop by about 0.6 degrees Celsius. Since we already have enough climate change, there is no need to add more.
