The European Union leaves this crystal clear message about the future of Ukraine

Once again, the European Union has spoken out regarding the conflict that is being waged in Ukrainian territory and that after more than two years, keeps kyiv on maximum alert in the face of Russian attacks against infrastructure of all kinds, civil buildings and the Ukrainian population.

Once again, the EU has insisted that its position has not changed one bit and that it remains on the side of Ukraine and Zelensky. This new declaration has been carried out by the EU delegation, and as the media assures Ukrinform.

“November 19 marked 1,000 days since Russia launched its illegal invasion, unjustified and unprovoked large-scale attack by Ukraine and 4,000 days since it began its aggression against Ukraine in 2014. The resilience and determination of the Ukrainian people in the face of relentless hostility has been extraordinary. European Union praises Ukraine’s unwavering determination in their legitimate fight for freedom and the defense of our shared values,” the statement includes.

Besides, The EU stressed that “peace is what Ukrainians most want and deserve”and states that this must comply “with international law, including the Charter of the United Nations, and fully respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”, and gave special importance to the fact that “no initiative can be taken in relation to “Ukraine without Ukraine.”

On the other hand, the writing also stated that during these thousand days, Russia “has shown no will to stop its barbaric actions” and they claim that Putin’s goals remain the same.

Finally, they stressed that Ukraine, as a sovereign, free and independent State, has the intrinsic right to determine its own foreign policy and its security arrangements, in full compliance with international law and the Helsinki Final Act.”

Finally, the EU insisted on defining Russia as an “aggressor state”, urged it again to “immediately end its senseless war” and recalled article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which recognizes the intrinsic right to self-defenseincluding the possibility of attacking any military objective participating in operations directed against its territory.
