Horror in a popular holiday country! It happened on Monday to the sinking of the ship near the Egyptian city of Marsa Alam, informs the local portal. There were 31 tourists and 14 crew members on board, while the passengers are currently missing. Allegedly, three Slovaks were also supposed to be on the ship.
The passengers were originally supposed to go on a diving trip and arrive in the port of Hurghada on November 29. However, according to available information a crew member sent a distress signal and subsequently the ship named “Sea Story” disappeared from the radars. The connection was lost.
Rescue services are currently working at the place where the ship sank. By helicopter should have managed to save 16 passengers, who are under the care of doctors. At the moment, it is not clear whether there are Slovaks among the survivors. The cause of the sinking of the ship is unknown.
