The CEO of the company One Internet Group (OIG), which hosts the Tigrinho game, said this Tuesday (26) during testimony to the CPI das Bets in the Senate, that he does not know the legal representative of the game in Brazil.
Fernando Oliveira Lima said he did not know who represents the company in the country, although he signed a contract with the party. The CEO stated that he only made contact with the site’s aggregator, not being able to say whether he was negotiating with a legal representative.
Questioned by senator Marcos Rogério (PL-RO), Fernandim OIG, as he is known, said he did not know the person with whom he signed the contract and who handled the negotiation with an international company.
“I don’t know who signs the contract, we get the service from an international company and I don’t know who it is,” he said. “I hire an aggregator and host it on my website.”
Fernandim OIG is the owner of the plane that took STF (Supreme Federal Court) minister Kassio Nunes Marques to singer Gusttavo Lima’s birthday party, held on a luxury yacht in Greece in September this year.
When pressed, the CEO said he had signed a contract with the Armenian company Bet Construct with a representative he referred to only as “Micael”.
“He is the first company owner who deals with business, who enters into contracts, but does not know who he is dealing with, who the legal representative is”, countered the senator.
Coaf (Financial Activities Control Council) identified a suspicious payment of R$1.7 million from One Internet Group to a company in the name of a cleaning lady in São Paulo. The businessman also stated that he did not know who the woman was.
The OIG runs the betting sites 7 Games, Betão and R7.bet, which are on the Ministry of Finance’s list of companies that were considered capable of operating until the beginning of 2025.
The commission invited the CEO again for further testimony in 15 days. In the morning, the CPI approved the summons of country singer Gusttavo Lima, partner at VaideBet.
Throughout the session, Fernandim OIG was also asked about his closeness with Minister Kassio, whom he claimed to have been friends with for over ten years.
Asked by the CPI whether they had met in Piauí at the time when the minister was a federal judge of the TRF (Federal Regional Court) of the 1st region, the businessman said again that he did not know how to say so. Fernandinho limited himself to saying that they met at Mercado da Piçarra, where they “ate goat buchada” together.
Created in October this year, the CPI das Bets, chaired by senator Dr. Hiran (PP-RR), is the second in the Senate focused on investigations of this type of company. The central objective is to analyze the influence of virtual online betting games on family budgets.
