THE Elton John in a recent interview she talked about the health problems which he faces, revealing that he can no longer see anything out of his right eye, because of a contamination.
THE 77 year old singer awarded with EGO (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony winner) said in an interview with Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America” Monday that he can’t see out of his right eye after an infection over the summer, which has affected his ability to creates new music.
“It’s been a while since I’ve done anything. I just have to get off my couch,” he said initially and added: “Unfortunately, I lost my sight in my right eye in July because I had an infection in the South of France. It’s been four months now that I haven’t seen, and my left eye isn’t the best.”
“There is hope and encouragement that all will be well”added John, “but I’m kind of stuck in the present, I don’t know if I can go into the studio and record because I can’t even read the lyrics.”
THE Elton John he also stated that he “takes the initiative” to deal with the problems with his eye and that “it’s never pleasant for that to happen.” As he explained: “It shocked me a bit and I can’t see anything anymore. I can’t read anything, I can’t watch anything.”
Despite the difficulties of, o award-winning artist described himself as “luckiest man in the world” during the interview, which he gave to promote his upcoming documentary “Elton John: Never Too Late.”
“I am so proud of the documentary. I am proud of my children. I’m proud of my attitude towards myself and everything that’s going on.” he said. “I’m just very lucky and very grateful.”
The documentary, directed by RJ Cutler and his husband, David Furnish, examines the music legend’s career spanning five decades, leading up to his final North American concert at Dodger Stadium in 2022. It will begin airing on 13 December on Disney+.
