The ex-moderator of the marquee show Na telo Michal Kovačič recently became the father of daughter Mila and at the same time launched his news website. After turbulent months at work and outside, he also received the White Crow award. Four stories took home the award on Monday, November 18. The second award-winning story was a journalistic one opposition to interference in the performance of work at Markíza television, led by Adel Ghannam, Michal Kovačič and Viktor Vincze.
The presenter has been working in the media for 22 years. After the announcements about censorship on television and the end of it Michal Kovačič decided to come up with his own 360° news websitewhich launched on Sunday, November 17.
“Mila was born on Saturday, we launched the 360 on Sunday, and on Monday we received the White Crow. I wonder what else can happen on Tuesday. On Sunday, November 24, he additionally commented on the award, which he received together with friends and colleagues.
“A little return to this week’s White Crow. I just got to the photos. When I look at the common one in the trio, I think (as the oldest) how I met Viktor Vincze and Adel Ghannam a few years ago. I knew right away that they were very talented guys, I gradually found out that they are also great people, that we would end up in this story together, I would never have guessed that. It’s an honor to be friends with you, Viktor and Adel,” Kovačič wrote about the joint photos on Instagram. You can find them at the end of the article.
In the television, where the aforementioned presenter Vincze has been working for a long time, things have been boiling for the last few months. The main face of the disgruntled editors, in addition to the ex-moderator of the Na telo show Michal Kovačič, was the moderator of Televízny Novín Viktor Vincze. He stayed in Markíza after his colleague was fired and together they announced the news.
“Viktor is already the union president. In fact, it’s been like that for months, but now it’s official. Since the Markíza management gave me notice, it did not make sense for me to continue leading the trade union that we founded together with Viktor Vincz and Adel Ghannam. Viktor has been handling the entire agenda for a long time. But it took a while before everything was officially resolved. It’s already happened, he also has the rest of the necessary documents and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that together with Gabika Kajtárová they will succeed in doing as much as possible,” Kovačič said on social networks.
