The actress Luana Piovani48, reflected on the aesthetic pressure that women suffer due to the beauty standards imposed by society. When participating this Monday (25) in “Sem Censura”, by Cissa Guimarães, on TV Cultura, she highlighted that “perfection does not exist”.
When he began his speech, he stated that it takes hours to produce. “There is no perfect woman. It’s four hours getting ready [para um trabalho]. There are people taking care of my makeup, my nails, my false eyelashes, apply them to my extensions,” he said.
The actress highlighted how advertising has, according to her, “sold these beautiful and perfect people”.
“What needs to be disclosed is that perfection does not exist. Let’s put an end to this marketing of telephone brands and products for young people that keep selling these beautiful, happy, perfect people, you know?”, highlighted Luana Piovani.
She vented by stating that it is necessary to break with this “This does not exist, there is no perfection. Nobody is perfect, nobody feels perfect. Not even the person we think is most beautiful feels perfect. So, you have to cut that.”
Piovani recalled that at the age of 16, her mother took her to the doctor, as she wanted her to be taller. “He [médico] he said ‘we cut it here, open the knee, put an iron in it and you gain 10 centimeters, but you’ll spend two years in physiotherapy’”, he said.
