Man is attacked with a lath during “discipline” of a criminal faction in Rio Branco

Marcos Paulo Paz de Freitas, 47 years old, was the victim of physical aggression by blows with a lath on Monday night (25), after being subjected to “discipline” imposed by a criminal organization. The crime occurred on Rua Altamira, in the Chico Mendes neighborhood, in Rio Branco.

According to witnesses, Marcos Paulo was walking on a public street when he was unexpectedly approached by three unidentified criminals. Using slats, the attackers struck the victim’s head and body.

Even though he was injured, Marcos managed to run and seek help from a nearby residence. After the attack, the perpetrators fled the scene.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called, and a basic ambulance was sent to provide assistance. The paramedics performed the first care and took Marcos to the emergency room in Rio Branco. Despite the injuries, his condition was considered stable.

The Military Police were not called.
