The Minister of Cities, Jader Filho, signed last Friday (22) with the Vice Minister of Housing, Jiang Wanrong, a cooperation agreement in the areas of housing, natural disaster prevention, infrastructure and urban environment.
The objective is to formulate joint policies for climate transition, smart cities, sustainable public transport and sewage and waste treatment.
Another goal is the creation and maintenance of so-called “sponge cities”, with the capacity to absorb rainwater and prevent flooding.
The memorandum includes sharing information and resources and promoting visits by official and business delegations. The signing took place in the context of the State visit of
