The incident occurred in spindles, Spanish municipality located in the province of Palencia (Castile and León).
According to , citing the Efe agency, the two Portuguese were working on a level crossing – in high-speed works.
At that moment, the convoy hit the car where they were both. The car was dragged for almost 1 km, approximately 900 metros.
The accident took place in a provisional ticket built for railway works.
The train had 92 passengers and traveled between Madrid and Santander. No passengers were injured.
They may still appear more victims, admit the Spanish authorities.
