Federal deputy questioned the performance of delegate Fábio Alvarez Schor during a speech in the Chamber plenary on August 14
The federal deputy (Novo-RS) was indicted by the (Federal Police) for slander and insult for criticizing the performance of the corporation’s delegate Fábio Alvarez Schor during a statement in the plenary of the Chamber of Deputies on August 14.
According to the Poder360the PF considered that the congressman acted with the intention of embarrassing, humiliating and offending the delegate, supposedly because he disagreed with his professional performance. The criticisms were related to the conduct of police investigations supervised by the minister of the (Supreme Federal Court) Alexandre de Moraes.
The corporation considered that Van Hattem made accusations “very serious” against the delegate. And if these accusations are unfounded, criminal liability could go beyond a simple crime against honor.
The Federal Police also stated that, although the deputy is protected by freedom of expression and parliamentary immunity, these rights are not absolute.
In the final report, the PF also cited a statement from the deputy (PL-SP), who called the delegate a “Alexandre de Moraes’ little bitch” to support the indictment, despite the speech was not made by van Hattem.
“And then, honestly, give parliamentary relevance to statements such as ‘Alexandre de Moraes’ little bitch’, ‘thug’, ‘coward’, ‘Alexandre de Moraes’ little dog’ or, even, grant unconditional exemption to the unfounded incriminations, so-called , without any benefit or social purpose, would be to greatly diminish – not to say belittle – the function of a Congressman, so dear and important to the proper functioning of democracy”says an excerpt from the document.

At the time, van Hattem said that Schor “creates fraudulent reports to maintain” former advisor to (PL) Filipe Martins “Illegally and without justification”
