The new phase of protests in Mozambique comes after a meeting between President Filipe Nyusi and the candidates running in the elections. This meeting was absent from Venâncio Mondlane, whose whereabouts are unknown, and who failed in his attempt to find solutions to the wave of protests and violence in the country.
