WASHINGTON (Reuters) – United States President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that his administration was pushing for a ceasefire in Gaza and that it was possible that Saudi Arabia and Israel would normalize their relations.
The US “will make another effort, with Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Israel and others, to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza,” he said. Biden also wants the hostages to be released and the war to end without Hamas in power.
Biden made the comments when announcing a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon at the White House. He added that the US “remains prepared to conclude a set of historic agreements with Saudi Arabia, including a security pact and economic guarantees, along with a credible path to the establishment of a Palestinian state and the complete normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia.” Saudi and Israel.”
