The actor Bruno Gagliasso42, admitted he “was racist” before adopting his eldest children, Titi, 11, and Bless, 9, with his wife, Giovanna Ewbank38.

The star explained that he needed to deconstruct entrenched behaviors when he welcomed his heirs during his participation in the program, on TV Brasil,

“I learned by living. I was racist, right? We grew up in a racist society, which made us become racist. So, I think it’s a process that everyone has to do. First, you have to recognize yourself as. And then, keep working and learning. And don’t look for it and don’t wait for people to want to teach us”, said Bruno, who is with his wife.

The artist revealed that he started to witness it.

“I’m very happy to have learned from fatherhood; at the same time, very sad that I only have to learn during fatherhood. In my skin I will never live, but in my soul I will, because there is no greater love than that of my children. It’s a pain that you can’t explain,” he said.

Gagliasso also recalled the criticism he received for adopting children outside Brazil.

“I ignore it. You have two options: either you receive love or you waste your time paying attention to ‘haters’. I remember that at the time it wasn’t even about the adoption of two black children, it was the adoption of two African children. Since when does love have a zip code? That was my answer. I didn’t go to Africa to adopt. We happened to be there and love hit”, he explained.
