The Public Ministry (MP) accused José Castelo Branco of domestic violenceconsidering that the defendant “physically and verbally attacked” his wife, Betty Grafstein, since the beginning of their marriage, celebrated in 1996.

In a note published this Monday, the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DIAP) of Lisbon says that Castelo Branco forced Betty “to wear clothes she chose, to wear makeup herself and to wear shoes that caused her pain”.
