A deer with a reflective jacket has been spotted in British Columbia, Canada, raising concerns about interference with wildlife. Andrea Arnold, a local journalist, spotted the animal on a road near McBride and photographed it, sparking debate on social media. Some argue that the coat increases visibility on the roads, while others fear that it poses a danger if it gets caught in a tree.
Sergeant Eamon McArthur, from the local Conservation Service, warned that interfering with wildlife is illegal and potentially dangerous. Authorities are trying to locate the deer to remove its coat, but sedating it can be risky due to capture myopathy, a fatal stress phenomenon. So far, the animal has not been found.
