Flamengo will prepare for the 2025 season in Florida, in the United States. The main objective is to promote the internationalization of the brand, especially in the year of the SuperMundial.
The Rio club will begin the first stage of the pre-season in Gainesville, where the team will use the athletic facilities of a large local university.
Furthermore, Rubro-Negro will face São Paulo in a friendly on January 19that Chase Stadium, in Fort Lauderdale, home of Lionel Messi and Suárez’s club.
Coach Filipe Luís highlighted the importance of this preparation outside of Brazil: “We understand that it is extremely important to have a pre-season outside of Rio de Janeiro, where we can bring together the entire group to carry out the necessary training, both physical and technical and tactics, in addition to working on the mental side of the players, who will be exclusively dedicated to training, rest and preparation.”
Flamengo will return to Brazil on January 24th to continue the season.
