Leverkusen – Red Bull Salzburg’s problems were brutally revealed on Tuesday in the Champions League. Salzburg had no chance at all against German champions Bayer Leverkusen and lost 0:5 (0:3). It was the third competitive defeat in a row for coach Pepijn Lijnders’ team. While Leverkusen practically has promotion to the knockout phase in their pocket with ten points from five games, Salzburg need a small miracle to achieve this.
