President and CEO of Abu Dhabi Investment met at Planalto and talked about industry, mobility and urban development
The president (PT) received, this Wednesday morning (Nov 27, 2024), the CEO of the Abu Dhabi Investment Group, Zayed Bin Aweidha, at Palácio do Planalto, in BrasĂlia. They discussed the fund’s potential investments in strategic sectors in Brazil.
The meeting was attended by Brazilian businessman Mário Garnero –president of Anfavea (National Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers) in the 1970s and of the investment bank Brasilinvest in the 1980s–, known for his ability to make connections between the world political and business.
The meeting discussed investment strategies in areas such as recovery of degraded pastures, industry, mobility and urban development, according to Planalto.
During the meeting, Lula highlighted Brazil’s economic, political and social stability as an attraction for international investors. The UAE CEO, in turn, demonstrated alignment with the presidential vision on the importance of strengthening workers’ conditions and the population’s purchasing power.
The president also mentioned the recent Brazilian mission to the United Arab Emirates, led by the Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, and anticipated the holding of COP30 in Brazil next year as an opportunity to strengthen relations.
Bruno Moretti, secretary of Government Analysis, and Carlos Ernesto Augustin, special advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture, also participated in the meeting.
