In one of the most important games of this Brazilian Championship, Botafogo opened the scoring against Palmeiras at Allianz Parque this Tuesday (26/11).
The goal came in the 18th minute of the first half, with Gregore being the scorer, following a corner kick. However, the move that led to the play caused controversy.

In the move that led to the corner, Marcos Rocha and Gregore came up to compete. The ball went out and a corner was awarded to Botafogo. The ball hit Gregore’s headbut referee Wilton Pereira Sampaio gave a corner.

Alex Telles short and Almada played the ball to Gregore. Free in the area, the midfielder took advantage of the distraction of the Palmeiras defense, and scored the net, with no chance of defense for Weverton.
Palmeiras coach, Abel Ferreira, complained a lot about the corner kick.
