Sporting fans put on a show with torches and fireworks (after threat from UEFA)

Juve Leo and DUXXI fans put on a show in the Alvalade stands during the game between Sporting and Arsenal, defying UEFA’s warnings. In the 14th minute, Juve Leo lit torches and displayed a message in the A14 stand, while, in the 25th minute, it was DUXXI’s turn to set off fireworks, causing whistles from other fans.

This behavior comes at a delicate time for the club, which faces a two-year suspended sentence imposed by UEFA. If infractions are repeated, Sporting risks the partial closure of the Alvalade Stadium, a sanction that would compromise the presence of fans in future games.
