The Slovak cultural community and the public were shocked 5 years ago by the news of the death of actress Monika Potokárová († 27). According to media reports, she ended her life alone. Her husband and actor Robert Roth (52) found her in the morning. They enjoyed married life only for a short time. They got married secretly in April 2019. The talented artist breathed her last on November 25.
The pain of the sudden loss remains in the hearts of her family and friends even five years after the tragedy. Actress Dominika Kavaschová still keeps her in her memories.”We will never forget” she bequeathed to heaven on a sad anniversary. Monika is also missed by theater expert Karol Mišovic, who dedicated a touching post to her on the social network. “A unique actress who played more than three dozen characters in that short time and with each new role only confirmed the inexhaustible malleability of her talent,” he wrote about Potokárová.
“A unique person left us with Monika, who influenced many of us, many of us literally searched for her presence, as if something warned us that we would never meet such a wonderful and specific person again.. Unfortunately, we have to write about Monika in the past tense for five whole years, but luckily the memories are still vividly intense. You don’t forget someone like Monika,” Mišovic confessed.
