A Slovak family of three also took part in the voyage of the ship, which capsized in Egypt on Monday. Holidaymakers and the crew of the Sea Story cruise ship had the worst time of their lives. The newspaper informs about the misfortune of the Slovak family.

A family from Veľké Grob was also on board. While mother Eva (50) and son Andrej (16) managed to be saved, both suffered, what happened to the father and husband Michal. After the impact of a big wave, Eva and Andrej managed to get on the inflatable lifeboat. They spent several hours on it without food, while it was blowing hard. When they were taken out, they started looking for Michal.

But the worst news came on Wednesday! The newspaper learned directly from the deceased Mrs. Eva that Michal was found dead. “I won’t tell you more about it,” she said in a crying voice to Pluska.

Teenager Andrej communicated with the editors before the terrible discovery. “Mom and I are fine. We were on the boat for several hours, but without water or food. In short, without everything, until we were rescued. At three in the morning the boat sank and my mother and I were put on an inflatable lifeboat. Then they found us at ten or eleven,” brought difficult times closer.

The last time they saw Michal was before the wave hit the boat. “We don’t know anything about the father. We are in some hotel, then they will take us to our embassy and probably to the hospital, because the mother probably has a broken toe, maybe two,” added for the diary.

The Sea Story ship with 31 tourists and 13 crew members on board capsized on November 25 near the Sataya reef. It sank within five to seven minutes due to high waves and strong winds, which subsequently led to the closure of sea traffic.
