According to an unnamed local representative, six foreign tourists (two Germans, two Britons, a Spaniard and a Swiss) and three Egyptians with minor injuries were briefly admitted to the hospital in the Egyptian resort of Marsa Alam on Monday.
The governor’s office said that on board the ship there were tourists from Belgium, Britain, China, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Slovakia, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and the United States. Among the missing are still two Poles and one Finn, the ministries of foreign affairs of these two countries informed.
The Sea Story ship with 31 tourists and 13 crew members on board capsized on November 25 near the Sataya reef. It sank within five to seven minutes due to high waves and strong winds, which subsequently led to the closure of sea traffic.
