The hiring of a new coach is only aimed at the 2025 season. With few games until the end of the BrasileirĂŁo, the team will continue with technical director Felipe “Maestro” as the team’s interim.

Can Cuca be Vasco’s coach?
According to Globo Esporte, Vasco is focused on the Brazilian market, with Cuca being one of the most highly rated options.
Another name in the spotlight is Fernando Diniz, Cruzeiro’s current coach. Diniz is an old wish of President Pedrinho.

Technical director Felipe “Maestro” will lead the team in the last games of this year. There are only three rounds left until the end of the Brazilian Championship – and the season.
Felipe has experience as a coach at Tigres, Bangu (in two spells), Confiança and Volta Redonda. He has been Vasco’s technical director since June 2024.

During a press conference, Pedrinho confirmed the information, claiming that Felipe will continue as interim for the three remaining games.

He knows all the athletes. Individual characteristics and personality. And for the final stretch it would be a risk to bring in a young coach. Since we need representation to achieve our goals — he highlighted.
