With three rounds to go before the end of the Brazilian Championship, four Flamengo players received early vacations. The decision was taken after the 0-0 draw with Fortaleza, which ended the Rio club’s title chances in the competition. On the list are: striker Carlinhos, midfielder Lorran, defender Cleiton and goalkeeper Dyogo Alves.

Therefore, the quartet will not play the matches against Internacional, Criciúma and Vitória. Furthermore, the athletes will perform again earlier than the others at Ninho do Urubu, on December 27th, and will join the group that will compete in the first four rounds of the Carioca Championship.

Carlinhos was hired this year after standing out in Nova Iguaçu’s runner-up campaign in the state. Used frequently by Tite, he has 16 games and two goals with the red-black shirt – one of them, against Vitória, in the first round of Series A. Lorran, considered a jewel of Fla’s youth team, has 31 matches as a professional and also has already scored twice.

Cleiton, another home silver, played 16 games for the main team, but is only the fifth option in defense, behind starters Léo Pereira and Léo Ortiz and substitutes Fabrício Bruno and David Luiz. Dyogo Alves was Brazilian and world under-20 champion with Flamengo, but has not yet made his professional debut. He is one of the survivors of the fire tragedy at Ninho do Urubu, in 2019.
