The elimination of Bahia’s under-20 team in the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil marked the end of coach Rogério Ferreira’s work. This Thursday (28), Tricolor announced the dismissal of the team’s coach.
Rogério Ferreira has been at Bahia since 2022, when he joined the under-17 team. Last year he was promoted to the under-20 team. During his time at Esquadrãozinho, Rogério Ferreira won his second state championship in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. The tricolor thanked the coach for his work.
“Bahia is grateful for your dedication, titles won, and for the professionalism that has always been a hallmark of your time at Tricolor. We wish you much success in your next journey,” said the club.
In addition to the dismissal of Rogério Ferreira, Bahia released the under-20 players for a period of recess. The return is scheduled for December 16, when the group will begin preparing for the first three games of the 2025 Bahia Championship. The Squadron will use an alternative team, as it will be in pre-season in Spain.
In January, the tricolor will compete in the São Paulo Junior Football Cup with the under-17 team. The Bahian club is in group 16, which also includes Madureira-RJ, Sergipe and Capivariano.
