The state-owned aerospace company Alada will be a subsidiary of NAV Brasil, a public air navigation company
The Chamber of Deputies approved on Wednesday (27.Nov.2024) the bill that authorizes the creation of Alada, a state-owned company that must economically explore aerospace infrastructure and navigation. The text will be sent to the Senate.
Alada will be a subsidiary of , state-owned by the government of (PL) to implement, manage, operate and industrially and commercially exploit the aeronautical infrastructure intended for the provision of air navigation services.
The project for the creation of Alada was authored by the Executive Branch. It was by the president (PT) on October 3rd. In a publication at the time, the government said that Alada will be responsible for carrying out projects and activities to support airspace control.
The measure, according to Planalto, should reduce Brazil’s dependence on foreign suppliers, “especially for materials that involve sensitive technologies and that suffer export restrictions, due to political criteria of the governments of their manufacturers”.
The project authorizes the Union to assume direct control of the subsidiary through the total transfer of controlling shares of the new state-owned company held by NAV Brasil.
Rapporteur of the text in the Chamber, the deputy (Republicanos-PE) said that the new state-owned company, “by filling a gap in the national industry, it will contribute to the generation of jobs and the development of research and innovation in strategic sectors”.
Alana would be responsible, for example, for launches from the Alcântara Base (MA).
According to the project approved by the deputies, the subsidiary will be able to hire technical and administrative staff for a fixed period of time, for up to 4 years. The text authorizes the assignment of civil and military public servants and public employees.
